Dr. Mike Evans is founder of the Health Design Lab at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute, an Associate Professor of Family Medicine and Public Health at the University of Toronto, and a staff physician at St. Michael's Hospital.

Are we really so far gone that our big health and wellness revelation is...EXERCISE = GOOD?

Great video, and I hope it gets in the hands of those who are on the modern fad fitness treadmill to nowhere. Yes, most folks are looking for just the right pill, potion, exotic herb or magic that will transform their fat, elephantine physiques and rotten health.
NOPE!
Eat clean and exercise...simple as that!

thank you. that is somewhat what I have been doing this last week or two. since i am not allowed to drive, take the bus, or work for two weeks after the surgery I just had, I have basically been homebound during this time. so what i have been doing is, climbing four short flights of stairs, taking the elevator down, walking to the end of my short block, walking up four more short flights of stairs, etc. i only do this twice a day, but better something than nothing

I'm sorry to hear about all your health problems. maybe you could just work out how to do 5 lots of 4 mins spread over your 24 hrs and then see if you can increase it? or even just start with one lot of 4 mins and go from there?? good luck and may God bless you and heal you.

absolutely inspiring. thank you. I loved all the references back to the studies done. I loved the way it has been presented with the sketches and the white board. this needs to be shown to as many people as possible. I am going to make it my priority to be active 30 mins a day. I will sit down and make a plan to make this happen, better than any pill and it is free. thank you again.

I am 150 pounds overweight, have sciatica, scoliosis, high blood sugar, sleep apnea, depression, insomnia, a weakened heart, irregular heartbeat, and had a pacemaker/defibrillator recently installed into my chest. and so i wish i could walk more than I do, but I cannot, because of my sciatica.  if i dare to stand or walk more than five minutes, my sciatica gives me excruciating pain in my lower back and right leg

Don't forget genetics. Some people can eat trash and live self gratifying, glutinous lives and not see their body breakdown for decades. We truly are what we eat, are we Love and respect or trash and selfishness?
