Engineers put the rover through thousands of hours of testing. They did drop tests; pull tests; drive tests; load tests, and many other tests to get Curiosity ready for launch.

  • Imagine how far space exploration would be at the moment if the U.S dedicated as much money as they do on wars/weapons/military. This gem of a project cost 2.5 billion; That's about as much as the U.S. is spending a year on ammunition and fuel in the dumb Iraq/Afghan wars.

  • jesus that thing is slower than a turtle.

  • @petefentonp wise words

  • interact with itself in bad ways huh?

i interact with my self every night

  • @petefentonp Took me a few seconds to get that, haha.

  • these guys must be nerd when they were in highschool

  • It's amazing how far we have progressed as a species, even more amazing how much potential we have.

  • @petefentonp Amen to that! haha, I kid of course.... Couldn't have said it better myself :-)

  • @djgrekos are you retarded? it's called different fields of science. There's geology, there's oceanography, and there's the medical field for your whining interests. Not everyone is interested in your communistic interests so they chose to work in space technology.
