Yet another new Railway for me this year! but this time it as for a purpose, to help in the construction of a Brand New locomotive, in the form of a GWR Collet designed 68XX 'Grange' class 6880 'Betton Grange', the event was organised by the team of enthusiats invloved with Building the locomotive, Beautiful weather made the day extra special, cloudless skies and the spectacular views of the Dee Valley
the Line Up of the locos in use on the day i went is below
| GWR 'City' class 3440 'City of Truro' (from the National Railway Museum/Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway)
| GWR 'Dukedog' class 9017 'Earl of Berkeley' (minus Nameplates and re-painted in BR Early Black livery exclusily for the event)
| GWR 4575 class 5526 (from the South Devon Railway)
| GWR 56XX class 5643(from the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, on long term loan to the Llangollen Railway)
| LMS 5MT 'Black Five' class 44806 (running as scrapped sister loco 44801, Resident on the Llangollen Railway)
| LMS Royal Scot class 6100 'Royal Scot' (from Bressingham Museum)
| LNER (BR) B1 class 1306 'Mayflower' (from the Battlefield Line, and sadly not seen running in the video)
| LNER D49 class 246 'Morayshire' (from the National Museum of Scotland/Bo'ness and Kinniel Railway)
in this video we see the action from the Stations along the Line such as Glyndyfrdwy, Berwyn, Carrog and Llangollen, however another video will be uploaded shortly, all filmed near Berwyn Station, and all filmed by my Dad
the plan i did for my day;
10:00 Llangollen - Carrog Hauled by 1306 'Mayflower' and '44801'
12:15 Carrog - Glyndyfrdwy Hauled by 5526
13:00 Glyndyfrdwy - Berwyn Hauled by 9017
13:57 Berwyn - Llangollen Hauled by 6100 'Royal Scot'
14:55 Llangollen - Glyndyfrdwy Hauled by 6100 'Royal Scot'
15:30 Glyndyfrdwy - Berwyn Hauled by 5526
througout the day, visiting 4575 class 5526 was paired with fellow SDR based auto coach W228W, and another visiting coach, this time LNER 'Beavertail' observation coach E1719E was Hired from the Great Central Railway, and coupled to the Maroon Couled Mk1 stock, a perfect match
so for my first to Llangollen, was brilliant, the North Wales scenary complimented the Warm, 'summerish' weather and a fantastic array of Steam Locomotives from all across the UK, if you ever get the chance to go on the Llangollen Railway, or attend the gala next weekend, make sure you can go
Lovely footage, Dec.
That Dukedog has the biggest "cycling ferret" emblem I've ever seen!
She and Truro have the line to themselves today (Sunday) and tomorrow, before they depart for home.

thanks marc, shame you missed it, was definatly a rare chance to see the dukedog be in the same line up as a B1 or Royal scot for example, the weather just really made the day aswell, not a single cloud in sight
