Actually he was experimented on and created akito to cope with the experiments. Then he created agito to cope with the violence of a-t. The personalities are a result of the experimentation. Read the manga, it's some insane crap

@crazyweirdomimicers he is a boy with split personalities.. when he puts the eyepatch on the left side he's Agito a regular guy, but when he puts the eyepatch on the right side he's Akito who's personality is a girl.. its a lil confusing..
