Marshalls 2008 RHS Chelsea Flower Show - The Build

Designed to be an organic playground, the garden aims to encourage children to go outside and play; leaving behind their computers, games consoles and televisions.




Created to blend the excitement of risk through play - in a managed setting - The Marshalls Garden That Kids Really Want! offers an environment for creative fun and learning. Stimulating sight, sound, smell and touch it hopes to educate with its planting and natural draw for bio-diversity; develop creative thinking and social interaction, plus offer exciting and testing personal challenges.




To help create this utopia, throughout 2007 Marshalls conducted a series of school workshops to find out what children of today would really like in their garden. To help, Marshalls worked closely with BBC Blue Peter Gardener, Chris Collins and Sven Wombwell, TV gardener on shows such as House Doctor and the BBC's Garden Invaders.
