Old Forge Trail Report 1-3-12 Helmet Cam

This video was taken on January 3rd, 2012. The trails are in good to fair condition. With excessive traffic, the trails will not last. However, with marginal riding, they should be fine. There are spots in the turn where you can see there isn't much snow, and there are a lot of rocks and sticks in the trails which the skis find. Towards Brantingham, the trails were not groomed as of 1/3/11, as we broke trail. The inner trails were groomed nicely. There is about 8 to 12" of snow in the woods. The trails are in good condition, but if a ton of people ride this weekend, they will not last. This is a video of Trail 5 in old forge, heading towards Daiker's Inn and Bar. Sled is a 2012 Arctic Cat Procross XF 800 LXR. Helmet Camera is a Contour Roam shooting in 720P HD.
