MV Clelia II, Great Lakes cruise ship, arriving at Houghton, Michigan from Lake Superior, on a Great Lakes cruise, Toronto to Duluth, July 2009; The Clelia II is now renamed the Orion II and is based in Australia.
@yomamasapeach This ship Clelia II makes trips to Antarctica in the winter (December -March) because that is summer in the southern hemisphere. They did have rough seas in the Drake Passage in December 2010
@TheYooperdog dude, the antarctic is on the end of the southern hemisphere, while Lake Michigan is in the top of the Northern Hemisphere, I believe you mean an arctic storm but not a antarctic storm
@yomamasapeach Through the Soo Locks, Welland canal and locks and St Lawrence River to the Atlantic.,

This is the same ship that was blown about during an antarctic storm in early December.
Just goes to show you that if a ship can survive on Lake Superior it can survive anywhere!
