  • also when the tractors were spraying the milk out on the field why do they do that? ive never seen that done

  • i want to know what the 8th state is. is it new mexico?

  • very good video. i grew/am growing up on a 70 cow dairy farm.. i just recently went to college this year and it is so weird being away from home because when you grow up on a farm you're always home.. it really makes you appreciate what you grew up with and all of the lessons you were taught. i hope that in the end i'll be able to continue what my dad and uncle and their dad and his dad started long ago.

  • I appreciate you sticking up for farmers, but you have to understand farmers are farmers whether they are large, small, conventional, organic or anything else. You totally contradict yourself by showing the Betley farm and talking about how much they focus on cow care and efficiency, and then talking negatively while showing the Rosendale farm. Rosendale is one of the most innovative dairies in the world. It was designed around cow comfort and efficiency just like the Betley farm.

  • about just good old fashion farming ... those big huge operation are nothing but sickening !

  • you need more than 50 cows

most farms in my area are 150+ cows

  • Fine video .....farmers have little or no control over the huge retail chains and are now in a very weak position ...notice the same pattern in England .

  • GREAT VIDEO.

  • ( continued from below) ...But, I guess that is just not the way it works. We have read that a lot of people going into farming now are people who are new, with no experience. That would be us. But, we desire to be home. It is so strange that people who never grew up on farms want so badly to do that for a living, yet those who grew up on them choose not to. But, anyways. Thanks again for your video.

  • What a great video. Thank you for making it. I didn't grow up on a farm, and neither did my fiance, but for over a year now we have been seriously considering dairy farming, here in WI. We are not exactly sure how to get started, and are at the beginning stages of researching it. We have found online classes and a government site designed to help link beginners with those who may be retiring. Sometimes we just wish and pray we would make friends with a nice family whose kids chose not to farm..
