Robinho marked his return to Santos with a brilliant back-heeled winner in their 2-1 away win over Sao Paulo in the Paulista championship on Sunday.

The Brazil striker, on loan for six months at his first club from Manchester City, came on as a substitute 13 minutes after halftime and with five minutes to go back-heeled Wesley's pass into the net past goalkeeper Rogerio Ceni.

Robinho, back home looking to cement a place in Brazil's World Cup side, had already served notice his skills were undimmed by a disappointing spell at City when his shot following a fine one-two with fellow striker Neymar was saved at full stretch by the keeper.

"I lacked a bit more physical condition and rapport with those kids who play so well but thank God I could score a wee goal," Robinho told reporters.

Neymar put Santos ahead with a penalty in the 38th minute and Sao Paulo equalised nine minutes after Robinho had come on with substitute Roger's first touch, a header, in the "classico" in the Sao Paulo state championship.

Robinho scored the winning goal in his first game back with Brazil's Santos, giving the team a 2-1 win over top rival Sao Paulo.
The striker entered Sunday's match in the 57th minute.

He immediately showed signs of his old form, combining with Santos' 18-year-old sensation Neymar for some shots that just missed.

In the 85th, Robinho began a quick counterattack and passed to Wesley outside the area. He then slipped by all defenders to find himself open in front of goal.

Wesley placed a perfect pass back to Robinho, who leapt in the air and back-heeled the ball past the keeper to score.

Robinho returned to Brazil on loan from Manchester City in hopes of regaining his form and winning a spot on the national team for the World Cup.

El delantero volvió al Santos, el equipo que dejó en 2005 para marcharse al Real Madrid, y debido a un ligero exceso de peso y falta de forma comenzó el partido en el banquillo. Desde ahí, vio cómo el Santos se puso en ventaja en el minuto 36 mediante un penalti cobrado por Neymar, un joven de 18 años con una endiablada habilidad similar a la suya y que muchos consideran la mayor promesa del fútbol brasileño actual. El gol llegó después de una paradiña tan genial como ilegal.

El jugador del Manchester City entró en el minuto 57 en lugar de André y le costó encontrarse con sus compañeros.

Comenzó jugando retrasado, arrancando desde atrás y buscando la conexión con Neymar, que no llegó a funcionar.

En el minuto 67, en una distracción de la defensa del Santos, Roger aprovechó un centro lanzado por Marcelinho Paraiba y empató el encuentro.

Robinho buscó más juego, se adelantó en el campo y casi marcó en el minuto 70, pero su disparo cruzado fue desviado por el portero Rogério Ceni.

Cinco minutos antes del final, apareció como toda la hinchada del Santos quería. Wesley escapó por la banda derecha y lanzó un centro rastrero que Robinho, llegando en velocidad, conectó de tacón a sólo dos metros de Rogério Ceni, que no tuvo cómo reaccionar.

La victoria mantiene al Santos en el primer lugar del campeonato regional del estado de São Paulo, con 16 puntos, y seguido por el Corinthians, que en esta temporada cuenta con Ronaldo y con Roberto Carlos, que acaba de ser repatriado por el equipo paulista.

@pedregulho1999 Isso não é questão de estudar, qualquer retardado percebe que não estava impedido. É o básico do futebol. Vá pausando o vídeo próximo aos 14 segundos até o momento que ocorre o passe. Robinho está fora da pequena área e o Wesley que cruzou em direção pra ele está depois da linha da pequena área. Até um bandeira ruim, não marcaria impedimento.... pois NÃO ESTAVA.

The offside rule has two exceptions:

1) If the player that receives the pass is behind the midfield line in the moment of the pass he will never be offside.

2) The second exception that happened with Robinho: A player will never be offside if the assistant player line is closer to the goal line than the receiver player line.

Yup, no defense at all, that is why Brazil beat England in WC2002 with one player down through the whole half-time and England wasn't able to score and had the most control of the ball...Brazil with "no defense", out playd England in that game and most game they played against each other ...like you said that is Brazilian football...5 times WC Champions.
