Cody, my Pomsky, or I would rather call it a Huskeranian (Siberian Husky x Pomeranian) playing with his brand new toy - Kong Wobbler. He was initially unsure of what to do but figured out shortly that all he had to do is to push it around and food will 'magically' appear.

Cody is born on 16 January 2011, and very much a smaller version of a Husky. Has Husky traits like his fur, eyes (bi-colored), body structure.

By the way, it was purely an accident the Siberian Husky and Pomeranian parents mated. This cross is first in Australia, second in the world. Both parents are alive and well. The owners of the parents are keeping the parents separate.

  • there are several ways to get a dog that looks like a Pomeranian-Husky mix. It would be important to know how it was done if one was going to buy it. Funfact: animal hybrids are usually named with the father's name first. So a Pomsky would have a Pomeranian father.

  • @blacksnake681 I wanted to call it a Huskeranian, but a Pomsky sounds cuter. LOL. Seriously, no one I know or have spoken with really care if the name reflects which breed the father is. But it is an interesting fun fact. Thanks. :)

  • so what do you think the average size of this mixed breed will be small, medium, or large? (we're planning on getting one but we can't allow big dogs in our small house yet until we can get a larger living space) btw your dog Cody is very beautiful

  • @Jennsega101 Hi, I don't know what the average size of a Pomsky, as they are pretty hard to find. All I can say is that Cody is 10 months old now and he is about 8-9kg. He is about twice the size of a Pomeranian now, so it is not a full Husky size. I doubt Cody will grow much bigger, which is nice. I have to say that Cody is apparently the one that has grown the biggest amongst his siblings... according to the lady whom I got it from.

  • where do you find breeders for this?? I can't find any. :C

  • @maggiexmassacre Did I reply to you? I don't think I did. You won't find any breeders, or should find any as it is deemed cruel to mix the 2 breeds together due to the size. Only accidents are fine, but forced mating is cruel.

  • he is adorable!

  • Probably coolest mix of a dog.

  • @psychey1 Cant you mate a female husky with a male Pomeranian?

  • He's so smart!!! aww

  • Where did you get your dog!! I WANT ONE!!

  • @ginapoof Aww. :[ I was rather hoping to find an ethical breeder. Can't they artificially inseminate a female husky with pomeranian sperm? Is there any ethical way to go about producing pomsky pups? Perhaps someone breeds pomsky + pomsky?

  • @ginapoof you dont have to be a dick about it, they CAN artificially inseminate it to a female dog. you are acting like i said things i didn't you can take a large Pomeranian and a smaller husky to breed them.

  • @ginapoof

*or by any breed mixing and BREEDING
