You'll Remember Me||Episode 1

(Joe) I woke up in a cold sweat. It was those damn nightmares again. I thought they stopped. It's been almost two years since she died. Since I couldn't save her. All the memories flooded through me in a flash. Her smile, her eyes, the way she laughed when I kissed her nose, and the very last time she ever said I love you. I wrapped the blanket around me and started to cry. I haven't cried since her funeral. Now all the extra tears I've been holding in rushed out. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I couldn't save you.

Teacher: "Okay everyone. Pick up your pencils and get started. This essay will determine the rest of your life. Make it count."

Demi: "Well, no pressure there." I leaned over and whispered in Sel's ear. She giggled and slapped my arm.
Sel: "Write like the wind, bullseye."

(Demi) When I write, I write. Nothing stops me. Not even my own thoughts can distract me. Selena knows that. She's been my bestfriend since we were babies. Our mom's have tea together on Sundays. Hahah. That's still funny to me. The essay today was about our most prized possesion. And no, it will not determine our life. Our teacher likes to exaggerate. It's just a big grade.

His voice was in my head. Oh no. No. No. NOO. Not now! Dammit! It's like he was yelling at me. Over and over again. As much as I love his sweet, pure, deep voice, now is NOT the time. He keeps repeating my name. "Demetriaaaa." "Demi." His was the only voice I got distracted by. I dropped my pencil. Selena looked over at me with bug eyes. "Nooo." She whispered quietly. I put my forehead in my hands and then ran my fingers through my curly hair. "Darn it to heck." I muttered under my breath.

"Girls, is there something you would like to share with the class?" The teacher stood up and took off her glasses as she spoke. Selena moved her arm from my shoulders. She was trying to comfort me. And it always works. She has this natural ability to make me feel nothing. She takes it all away. His voice, pain, everything. One second I'm in pain, the next I feel nothing at all, and then I am back to normal before the pain. It comes in handy sometimes.
Selena: "No ma'am. We are just fine and dandy back here. Nothing for anyone to worry there pretty little heads about." She smiled.

Everyone laughed at her country impression. Trying to lighten up the mood, I guess.
Miley turned around and smiled at us. "As if. We always have to worry about you two."
Everyone laughed. Selena stuck out her tongue towards Miley. "Haha."

"GIRLS! Enough. Everyone get back to work." The teacher smiled and sat back down at her desk.

(Joe) I let the water run once more. The bath was almost full. Now I am having second thoughts. Would she really want me to do this? Would she want me to join her?
