Photos and short video of Kalamalka Beach in Vernon, BC, Canada. Kalamalka Lake has many beaches along it's turquoise edge, Kalamalka Beach being the largest.
Thanks for the positive words. I recall Kal being packed with beach-goers back when I was a teen in the mid-1970s, early '80s. Mind you things seemed more plentiful and bigger when young. Still, the beach packs during some summer weekends.
The reason for few people the day this video was taken is that it was taken on a Monday afternoon - 2pm'ish - in June. School had not yet let out for summer and tourists had yet to infiltrate the area..
Yeah love The Okanogan vernon kelowna penticton in my heart forever. I gotta lot of fond memories of Vernon the beaches the sun fun and food the go carts and parks. 76 to 92 and plan to visit someday again. Was there when they built that pier in pieces there was like 20 of us on one floating piece trying to sink it haha
I, too, recall the one wing of the pier that linked in pieces. I believe there was a two-story dive board at the very end of the main pier. The floating pier was a gas to swim under being it was nearly water level. Great memories.
omg i just noticed thats the old Dock. we got a new one

When did the new dock go in? This video with the dock you see was taken in June 2008. Was a new dock built this year?
