The Girl Next Door (A Jonas Brothers School Series) Episode 60

Joe waited somewhat patiently for the next 3 days, counting down the hours until he'd get to see Jen again. He had no trouble getting up and getting ready for school on Monday morning, even though any other day it wouldve been a hassle. He got to school right on time, but when he walked up to the doors, he froze in place. What if she wasnt here, what if that wasnt really her cousin and that girl was just playing along? What if! What if! What if!! Thats all he could do was toss around the negative in his mind.

Joe: (taking in a deep breath) Ok Joe, go, she's here ok. Go find her, thats what you've wanted for the past month, now go

He walked in and his eyes started scanning the halls, but all he saw was the people he'd been seeing since she left. Everyone but her filled the halls. He felt the tears welling up in his eyes, he couldnt handle much more disappointment. He made his way over to the wall and slid down it, burying his face in his knees, small little tears silently making their way down his cheeks. The bell rang to go to class, but he didnt acknowledge it, and within minutes, the hall was empty again. He didnt care if a teacher came up to him and told him to get to class, he wasnt moving.

?- (noticing Joe sitting in the hallway with his head tucked between his knees, walking over to him and stopping right in front of him) I was hoping I'd run into you, stranger

Joe recognized that voice. He brought his head up and saw her standing right in front of him. His blonde haired, green eyed long lost angel.

Joe: (a huge smile breaking through his sadness) Jen!
Jen: Hey Joe, miss me?
Joe: (standing up and wrapping her in a huge hug) You bet I did. I never quit thinking about you
Jen: (sliding her arms around his neck and playing with his hair) Im sorry I left, I just, couldnt handle your parents
Joe: Its ok, they're ok now
Jen: What do you mean?
Joe: I went back and talked to my dad after he kicked me out
Jen: Wait what! I thought he kicked me out
Joe: And then me after you, because I wanted to come looking for you, and he said if I left I couldnt ever come back. So I left
Jen: Joe!
Joe: But....I went back anyway and got the chance to talk to him, and he let me stay. And you know what else?
Jen: What?
Joe: He told me I could still be with you
Jen: (smiling) Are you serious?
Joe: (grinning and nodding his head yes)
Jen: Thats great
Joe: (hugging her really tight) I know
Jen: Joe! Not so tight
Joe: Why? (loosing his grip on her)
Jen: Dont tell me you forgot
Joe: Forgot what?
Jen: You'll hurt your baby if you hug me too tight
Joe: Oh ya! No I didnt forget about the baby, trust me
Jen: Awww (hugging him) You're gonna be a great father
Joe: I hope so
Jen: (taking his face in her hands) I know you will
Joe: (leaning in and finally kissing her again) Mmmm, I missed that
Jen: Me too (kissing him again)
Sarah: (coming down the hall on her way to the office, but noticing Jen instead) JEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jen: (turning around) SARAH!!!!!!!
Sarah: (hugging her) Where have you been!! I was worried SICK about you!!
Jen: Im fine, I was with my cousin
Sarah: Dont ever leave me like that again! DO YOU HEAR ME!!!
Joe/Jen: Sssshhh!!!
Sarah: What?
Joe: Not everybody in the school is at a reunion
Sarah: Oops
Jen: (laughing) You havent changed a bit (hugging her again)
Sarah: And uh, Im guessing you're still having a baby huh?
Jen: Yup. Im exactly one month
Joe: Already?
Jen: (nodding her head yes)
Joe: Wow, you were gone longer than I thought
Sarah: Are you still going to the prom with Joe?
Jen: (hugging Joe) Of course
Joe: (smiling to himself and whispering so Jen and Sarah wouldnt hear) Phew! Thank God! My plan wont get messed up after all
