I always tell people- 'you don't want to meet your idol'. Your idol can be mean, rude, and uncaring (not intentionally) and it can crush you. I'm glad that you met JK Rowling and I'm glad that it made you feel happy. And I'm glad she's as down to earth as she is- which is ironic for a fantasy writer.
