The Tachyon XC Extreme Helmet Camera is the latest generation video and still camera designed for filming extreme action. It is extremely rugged and very simple to use, while delivering up to a full 30FPS of VGA video. It comes with a remote control and custom-designed mounting accessories.
It makes use of the common 1, 2, and 4GB SD and SDHC cards, but it is also the only helmet cam on the market that is compatible with 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB SDHC cards. This can give the user up to 8 hours of superior-level video and up to 64 hours of surveillance video on a single card.
A patented shock-proof battery system eliminates a common problem among other helmet cameras; the loss of power and recorded files caused by the jarring loose of the batteries. This innovation ensures that videos taken in challenging and perhaps impossible-to-repeat situations will not be lost.

question: can i use this without a helmet? im recording a rollercoaster ride and i dont want to look silly wearing a helmet there :D

Yes, you can attach to a hat with some 3M fasteners (or Velcro) and the Side Mount.

(wearing the camera on the side of your head)

But make sure your hat is secure!

Cool video. I live in the UK and on a forum website I found a guy that also lived in the UK that got charged £26 or roughly $38 at customs just to get through. Is there any way you can stop this happening if I get the XC?

This is a very nice cam... but I'll still wait for the one edition with night vision infrared with a 1.5 to 2 inches display so you wont be guessing if youre on the right spot, a zoom in and zoom out capabilities will be nice as well. just imagine a Tachyon with this. You will drive Oregon ATC5K out of business when this baby comes out.
