Alternate Ending (Nick Jonas Love Story) Chapter 4

______Nick's POV______

The smile plastered on my face probably looked completely idiotic, but it was glued there anyway. I was smiling simply because of Alex. She never seemed to stop smiling or laughing. She was running around with Frankie and Elvis and I was watching. She was great with kids. It was a good thing obviously. A very good thing. I knew that later in life she'd be a great mother. She was good with kids. And she looked genuinely happy. I see the changes. In the beginning things looked so terrible. So down. But now, I see the smile that it ever present on her face. It makes me happy to see. She's finally getting some happy. Some very long over due happy. "Hey Nick! What are ya up to?" Taylor called out. Followed by Sky and my brothers. "Oh you know, just watching." I smiled. "Why aren't you out there?" Sky motioned toward Alex who was making silly faces at Frankie who was running around and around Elvis. "It's more fun to watch." I said. "I disagree." Sky said as she and Taylor pulled me out onto the grass. Alex looked up and flashed that smile of hers. "Finally joining the fun?" She asked everyone. Her answer was a long peal of laughter mixed with a few chuckles by all of us. My brothers joined us. We were playing tag. (Frankie's Idea) Apparently I was it. And who else do I go after than my girlfriend. I ended up tackling her a little. Nothing hard. I ended up on top of her. She was laughing uncontrollably. "Nick! Was that necessary?" She smiled. "Yes." I responded. She rolled her eyes. I kissed her forehead. She closed her eyes and smiled. "Come on." I said as I helped her up. She smiled and grabbed my hand. I pulled her up and she ended up close to me. Very close. I could feel her breath hitting my neck. I looked down at her. I would have kissed her If my brothers and their girlfriends were here, but they were so I decided against it. "Let's get back." I smiled. "Not yet." She smiled as she brought her lips softly to mine. We both smiled into it. "We better get back before they start to miss us." I whispered breathlessly. She looked over my shoulder at them. She laughed. "I think they're fine." I looked over and saw them occupied with keeping up with Frankie. All of them laughing. It was the perfect family type moment. Something we hadn't had in a while. Alex was bringing my family together again. It was nice. Our lips met again. I felt like the world just stopped for us. As if no time was passing. And it might not have been. World War III could have just broken out but here, with her, nothing seems too impossible. She was my perfection. She was the mere image and essence of perfection. And it would have stayed perfection if the sprinklers hadn't gone off. I was about to pull away, but she deepened the kiss ever so slightly. Silently telling me not to go anywhere. And I didn't. It surprised me at first. She didn't really like that whole showing our affection to the world thing. But, I didn't mind. It was amazing. Anything with her was. We both pulled away and smiled. "Now we can go." She whispered breathlessly. "I might not want to." I smiled. I pulled her closer. Closer and closer until we were hugging. She was in my arms. My whole world. It was perfect. I kissed her head. "I love you." I whispered. "I love you."

______Taylor's POV______

I looked over at Nick and Alex. It was cute. They were definitely in love. It was an obvious thing. The way they were when they are together. The revolve around each other. I don't even think they are aware of it. They meet each other's needs. If one is sad the other is happy. And vice versa. They fill the gaps in each other. They were the ideal couple in love. "Hey." Kevin whispered as he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind. I sort of melted there. "Hi." I smiled. We weren't ones for much physical anything. Just the look in his eyes were enough to know he loved me. He kissed my forehead. That gentle reassurance was nice. I smiled. So did he. I looked over at Joe and Sky. Joe was running around with Frankie on his back and Sky was laughing at them. Elvis was chasing Joe and Frankie was pulling Joe's hair like reins. It was pretty hilarious. I could feel Kevin's chest move as he chuckled behind me. He was amazing. And I was happy. Completely content.
