  • So I wonder if the newer Linux kernel will help at all (2.6.28). The new kernel has "GEM Memory Manager for Graphics" and according to SJVN over at computerworld (google search term linux_2_6_28s_five_best_featur­es), the GEM will supposedly help with built-in graphics and non high-end graphics.

    Of course you could always pickup a Dell w/Ubuntu like mine and drop in a nice NVIDIA card. Google '530n ubuntu awesome' to see mine.
