We have a level crossing about a mile out of Aviemore. You can hear my fireman shout "white light" which tells me the crossing lights have activated correctly and are showing a red aspect to the road traffic, the second short whistled was some numpty who decided to walk over the crossing, the third whistle is a second warning as we are about to go over the crossing, where you can here the crossings warning bells shortly afterwards.
