Fire Starter

18/09/06, 12am, the arsonist fairies come out to play and set fire to a car. 1:30am while the police are still on the scene, the same arsonists set fire to a van, just around the corner.

12:30am - First car is set on fire (Volvos burn well)

12:45am - Fire Brigade arrive (tea and crumpets for all) Put out car fire.
1:00am - Police arrive (drink tea, discuss footie)
1:45am - Myself and the other non involved neighbours go back to bed.
2:00am - Police decide to take statements and wake us all up again
2:15am - While the police are taking our statements in the street, the arson fairies set a VAN on fire 25ft away from where we are standing talking to the policemen (yes the Police were still with us)


2:22am - Attending Policeman renamed by his controller "Fire Starter"




We can hear the bobbies all over Basingstoke calling in to take the mickey out of him, on his radio, poor sod.

2:30am - Fire Brigade are back (spend a bit of time catching up with old friends!)
2:45am - Fire is put out.
3:00am - Neighbours go back to bed.
3:00am - 8:00am wake up at at every single sound outside the house.

9:00am - Emerge into daylight and the neighbours outside chatting about the previous few hours, only to find the police had stationed two bobbies in an unmarked car outside all night..



They could have bloody told us so we could have got a decent nights sleep!
And there has never been any trouble like this before.
