Lesley served in the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic from 2004-2006. She is also the UA's Peace Corps Fellows recruiter and describes the application process. First visit www.peacecorps.gov about 6-9 months before you want to leave as a volunteer. Then interviews are held on campus and UA Fellows talk to you about a program that will meet your needs. Lesley discusses how applicant needs are met, how applicants are matched to countries, and the sectors that Peace Corps volunteers work in. She also shares how you can make your application stronger, a little about Peace Corps training, and safety questions.
