Lesley Newman: University of Arizona Peace Corps Recruiter

Lesley served in the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic from 2004-2006. She is also the UA's Peace Corps Fellows recruiter and describes the application process. First visit www.peacecorps.gov about 6-9 months before you want to leave as a volunteer. Then interviews are held on campus and UA Fellows talk to you about a program that will meet your needs. Lesley discusses how applicant needs are met, how applicants are matched to countries, and the sectors that Peace Corps volunteers work in.
