North Wales, May 2010. Bracken patch near the sea.
Chop down the young bracken shoots when they are about a foot tall, scrape back the bracken debris to reveal the soil, place your seed tubers about a foot apart. Cover with thick layer of bracken straw and retire to a safe distance.
Another visit after a month or so to chop of any bracken shoots and make sure no one has had your tatties (small mammals etc)
Any patch of bracken will do, theres plenty of it around!
