@mrstevehartman "Tell Me Why" just has that combination of catchy melody and rhythm all in one song. But really, my favorite early Beatle song is usually the last one I just happened to listened to.
@prschuster If anyone asked me to name my favorite Beatles song, I really couldnt. So many of them are so fine and I could listen forever. Like you, I tend to like the early Beatles songs because of there implied simplicity. Really tho.. they are far more complex than they sound. I always felt that " I Feel Fine " was awesome also. But, as cliche as it sounds, " Hold Your Hand " is probably my favorite early Beatles tune...
@mrstevehartman Yeh, something seemed a bit irregular. I love the early Beatles. That's the stuff our great grand children will be listening to a century from now, along with Beethoven's Pastoral or Clare de Lune by Debussy. Their later albums became too orchestrated and somehow they lost the beat. "Tell Me Why" is one of the catchiest Beatle tunes of all time.
@prschuster I listened a few more times. At times, the tempo seems correct but then a little irregular. Listen right about 1:36 and they seem to slow down somewhat like a tempo correction. Ive followed these guys for years and love their " Early Beatles " knockoffs.
@prschuster Correct !

@mrstevehartman You're right. The song was better played slower. I didn't notice it until you brought it up.

@prschuster Possibly, on some. I just thought this great song sounded better a little slower. They sure do put on an awesome show however !

@mrstevehartman The Beatles probably played their own songs a bit rushed when live as well.

@prschuster Yes, they are the best Beatles "Knock off " group out there. What you didnt notice however, is that they were above tempo...

Where did they find a left-handed Paul McCartney look alike who can sing & play bass? That fine detail hasn't escaped my notice.
