In 2005, Operation Murambatsvina, (also known as Operation Drive Out Trash) a Zimbabwean government campaign, was established to forcibly clear slum areas across the country. The operation was an attempt to crack down against illegal housing, and reduce the risk of the spread of infectious diseases. The campaign affected millions leaving over 700,000 unemployed and homeless. I spoke with one of the victims affected by the operation and in 'Voice of the Operation,' you will hear her story first hand.
