Here is a video of my trip to the severn valley railway in may 2009. There were two timetabled trains running, with a non-stop dining train running inbetween them. The locos that were running on the day were GWR Pannier 7714, LMS/BR Crab 42968 and 7812 Erlestoke Manor. The carriage sets being used were the LNER Teaks and the BR Carmine and Cream, both consisting of 6 carriages each, rather than the usual 8.

Even though mid week and not in the main season for the line, there was still a lot of people about on the railway, apart from at Arley, where for 2 hours it was me, the station master and two others spread about the station waiting for the trains to cross! Enjoy.

  • 42968 is a LMS mogul, not a crab!
