Ayumilove Windows Movie Maker Tutorial (Part 4)

hi guys! here is a video tutorial that guides you on how to apply PIP (picture-in-picture) effect on your video clips. Apart from that, this guide focuses on enhancing your video clip with pictures which is pretty similar with particle illusion.

Extra Information:

PIP is also known as Picture-In-Picture that allows video creators to play 2 or more videos simultaneously. This can be seen from my previous tutorials that has Brady Bunch Effect.

Picture Overlay allows you to superimpose pictures above the video clip. Superimpose means overlaying or in other words placing on top of the video. With this feature, you could add watermark, logo, and others. Apart from that, you could use it to censor someone's face (similar to crime scene) or place pictures on a screen to market a product. If you are making a PowerPoint presentation video, this feature comes in really handy.

I have also included a mini guide on how to create a watermark/logo using photoshop. It shows you how to create a transparent background, placing a title and saving as PNG.

The picture overlay guide I have included a guide on how to edit the XML file in order to view your custom overlay.

Take note that pictures are located in Shared
c:\program files\movie maker\shared

Take note that XML are located in AddOnTFX
c:\program files\movie maker\shared\AddOnTFX

Sometimes the XML creators change the location
of the PNG/GIF/picture by setting a custom path
So, pictures wouldn't necessary be in Shared.
Open XML file using notepad and find out where
the author placed the picture path.

I am trying to do the overlay and after i make my own logo in gimp and save as png i change the papa john thing and save it but when i try to load it in WMM all the others work fine but mine is just all black and it isnt supposed to be help please?
