I was in Ukraine for three weeks in July 2007. This video was taken at an outdoor museum in Uzhgorod in the Transcarpathian region. I bought this embroidered piece that has the Lord's Prayer in Ukrainian. I was pleased that I had learned enough Ukrainian and Russian to recognize the prayer immediately. I had my two friends Oksanna and Olga read it in Ukrainian so I could practice the correct pronunciation. Enjoy!

I am Ukrainian, and though I might be biased, I have to say that there *is* something special about our embroidery.
If you like it too and want to see more, look up "кролевецькі рушники" ("Krolevets embroidered towels") on Google Images. The towels are decorated in the style of the area of a small town of Krolevets, and they really are unique. I was born in the town, by the way, and take pride in that fact. However small your mother country might be, there's always something to make it special.

HRISTOS AMID US!
1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
Psalm 1. ( fragment ).
