@ThrashingBastardHell Well, yes, something like that. The good thing about the 'Cyber Metal' term is that you will probably not make a mistake when using it, because it's not precise...but that is also the worst thing about it, because that way it can't get recognition. So, the complete and definite features of the term still need to be specified. If we go back, we'll see that through the metal history this was a problem of many genres, so let's hope that C.M. will get its full definition soon.
@ElCyberius I understand, in short you could say that the "CyberMetal" more than anything is the current way of referring to every band that has industrial elements and modern music, no?. Anyway I like the concept, is a quick way to summarize the "futuristic elements" that has a band. Although, I think that this style comes to be really consecrated as such may as need a concepts that give shape.
@ThrashingBastardHell You are right, it is a form of Industrial Metal. So, saying that some band is a Cyber Metal band, that can be replaced by Modern Industrial Metal or Post-Industrial Metal. There is a tendency to label the bands that are using a lot of electronic music as Cyber Metal, actually it is a very young genre so it still needs to be recognized.. Sybreed is usually labelled as Cyber... because of their usage of electronic music, but as you've said, that's not completely correct.
Cyber Metal is a form of "Post-Industrial Metal"? for example why Sybreed is considered "Cyber Metal"? Sybreed has elements Groove and Industrial Metal so they should be called "Industrial Math / Metal" instead of Cyber... no? :S
