Tennis ball gun...

This is a tennis ball gun i have been building for a freind. Its nowhere near finished. its yet to get its propane metering and the chamber fan system.

It seems pretty wimpy because the barrel is too big, so the tennis ball is quite a loose fit. When i get the new barrel, it will be much more impressive. We estimate the ball went about 90-100m high.

whats better hair spary or propane injected

@jsanderson34 Hairspray is useless. It makes your chamber all sticky and nasty. The thing in hairspray that makes it go bang is the propellant, which is propane/butane so why bother with hairspray when you can cut out all the smelly sticky crap and just use the propane. Pneumatic canons with compressed air beat combustion anyway.

Yeah air is better. Which is why i scrapped this one and built a huge air cannon. Check my channel for some videos of it.

What size barrel do you use? And where did you get it?

Its 75mm 16bar PVC. Can't remember where I got it from. Have a look in my profile, i built a much bigger tennis ball gun after this one.

the perfect fuel: you need an oxy kit and a cask wine bladder.

get a neatural flame with the oxy and but it out on the bench (put the flame out) simply fill the wine bladder up. this is the perfect fuel:oxygen ratio. max distance max noise.

@hoarp001 You should try A pneumatic golf ball one its crazy what a golf ball can do at 100psi the pipe is harder to find I think its sdr21.

lol this is awesome. every 4th of july my grandpa has a tube with a tiny hole in the bottom. he has a setaline torch he uses to put the gas in the he lights the torch and puts it to the hole and it goes flying!!lol
