  • Not as "hot" as a lot of other Somers' numbers, but good just the same. Love the gramophone, especially with its original horn cloth still in tact (barely!) and the shot of the sheet music with DS's portrait. Thanks for posting this.

  • The vocal here is by John Thorne and was recorded on Saturday, 12th October 1936.

  • BRILLIANT, love the nautical horn pipe at the begining!. I have Hal Swain (rather late for him I think) on Regal Zonophone. It always reminds me of my late Uncle Tom who joined the Navy in 1936!

  • Nice tune and indeed ok for sound, such clear and neat rendition!
