Building a burner to use up the extra bacon grease at Harrys Pizza. Towards the end I mention how the heat helps the atomization, to clarify: the heat from the fire radiates onto the nozzle and nozzle holder, warming up the grease inside. This thins the grease to a viscosity which the nozzle is able to properly atomize.

  • mmm...a heater that runs on bacon grease? AWESOME!

What kind of temps are you getting?

  • @MisterInnovation I don';t know what temps I get though the smokestack can get white hot if it's cranked up

  • I use about 20 liters on a cold day. My shop only produces half of that. I save it all summer as well as bacon grease from another source.

  • HI WHAT KIND OF BURNER ARE YOU USING

  • So on a typical weekend how much waste bacon grease do you have for winter heating. I usually end up with some stored in pickle jars but it's usually gone in a few minutes during the year-end bonfire. Obviously you would have a lot more running a pizza shop.
