Alesis Midiverb 4

Going through some sounds on the Midiverb 4. Lots of big modulated reverb, a touch of pitch shifted delay, a multi tap delay and then some more reverb. I played a Fender CLassic Player 50s Strat into a Boss GX-700 preamp, then through the Alesis Midiverb 4 and into the Peavey Classic 60/60 power amp and a Marshall 1960A cab. Tuned to drop C. Forgive my ham-fisted attempt at the Terminator theme tune!

Can I get reverse reverb sound with it?

@SkankerxD Kind of, but not quite. You can get a reverse gated reverb, which means it sort of fades the reverb in. But it doesn't reverse the audio.

do you run it in the front end of your amp or in the effects loop?

@JohnathenDavis It's after the preamp but before the power amp. If I was running it with a normal amp head I would definitely run it in the effects loop.

I have been given a midiverb 4, and when I plug it in and switch it on, it says 'initialising' and then a load of astrix' follow. The midiverb 4 has not been used for what I can imagine to be at least 3 or 4 years, possibly even more :S any suggestions or ideas?

@NirvanaRox4Eva Hi mate, I've no idea I'm sorry. Sounds like it's fucked. The only thing I can think that *might* help (and it's no guarantee) is to go inside it and re-seat the EPROM chip. Take it out and push it back in.

just got my midiverb 4 yesterday for 65 bucks brand new with gel pack inside, and plastic sticker on it, thing is awesome!!!!! no scratches nothing!!!

You want to talk about a pedal that will make this Midiverb sound AWESOME!!!!!????????? TRUST ME BRO, no other pedal will do this effect rack justice more than the Hardwire Overdrive pedal.......buy a used one off of ebay or something man, you won't be disappointed.
