The Government banned it , because of the law restricted every bus maximum length is 12m . So KMB sell this back to German. Its slow because its heavy and have a rubbish ZF gearbox and it cannot afford high speed due to 4 wheel steering.

On July 9 of 1997,In order to provide a more efficiency services, Kowloon Motor Bus and CityBus had invited a Germany bus manufacturer,Neoplan, to introduce a 15metres bus to Hong Kong and perform a series of road-test to see whether it is suitable to serve in Hong Kong or not.
