Stockport Town Hall Centenery Celebrations

There was live entertainment provided by an assortment of artists on a stage at the side of the town hall, July 13th 2008. The finale was a fantastic firework display :-D
Oh - and because Stockport town hall is directly on the flight path to Manchester, it was necessary to contact the airport to delay flights until the display was over, well... so you thought... towards the end of the display - a plane flies overhead seemingly through the firework display!

Hi Abbey we performed in the day time with the band at Stockport 100th Birthday what a brillent day and the iceing on the cake was this spetacler fireworks display.

Quicksiver did are lantren fireworks show and that was fantasic to.

I never knew about it until 10pm and they all went off. We watched it from the main road just beside Hollywood Nursery...

We didn't see the plane though, and we were still outside at 10:25 when the last ones went off
