HotHardware's video review of the powerful, new Alienware M17x Gaming Notebook--complete with dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M GPUs, an Intel Quad-Core QX9300 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 1TB RAID 0 array. This is one killer gaming notebook.

@55hatter That's why google exists, and you could make something as the same performance of an alienware by only spending about $1000 to make a desktop AND you can actually upgrade parts without forking over 4k for a new alienware that lasts 2 years.

@fake123450101 you could, however some people are not as "computer orientated" as you, therefore if they want a gaming laptop/computer and they see a high-end company selling them, then its abit of a no-brainer of you ask me as alien ware sell very good laptops and desktops and as far as i know have some pretty decent kit inside them

@FHN1987 yep, my mate's lasts about 27 minutes, your meant to keep it plugged in constantly though, pretend it's a desktop

Bought an alienware m17x two years ago.
2.7ghz dual core, gtx 280M, 1900x1200, 2g ram, some other shit. This computer sucks. Everything multimedia (everything except games) is very hard to do on it. It has crashed numerous times and I've had it looked at and repaired 4 times now. The graphics cards are totally fucked up too. I'm scared to use it and usually don't.
It plays games amazingly tho when it works
Never get one

@maximej13 You should absolutely get the M17x Alienware laptop. Also, it depends on how well you want it to run, and the price rang. I am getting myself a M17x with 8 GB of ram, 750 GB of memory, and an i7 Intel Core Processor. It runs any game with max settings with little to no lag. I am getting it for about 1,500 dollars. I hope this helped.
