SUCH A NIGHT, JAILHOUSE ROCK and G I BLUES in this very different tribute to ELVIS on his 75th Birthday 8 Jan 2010 ( Part 1 of 4) Oliver Steinhoff was delayed by the European "Big Freeze" and didn't make it to Blackpool for the "WALK A GOLDEN MILE IN MY SHOES" Show. At the VERY LAST MINUTE Jay Ashton, who was helping out backstage before appearing as compère for the evening session, stepped in to entertain the fans. In T-shirt and jeans he performed some of the wonderful Elvis songs, as a tribute to the King, on what would have been his 75th birthday. There is a short version on YouTube of clips from this tribute but I decided to split the full show into four parts to upload and share it with you. Apologies for the poor picture quality ... I wasn't in the best seat for the stage lighting .... but the voice and moves are great ... It takes a special talent to perform "Elvis" without benefit of costume and make-up to a large audience of dedicated Elvis fans ... and they loved it. To those of you who were there .... wasn't he great ... and to those who weren't ... enjoy ...
