Never went to Vietnam, being as I was born almost a decade after it ended, and a medical condition prevents me from fighting in Afghanistan, but I still love this song. Thanks for posting this.

I heard this song in the early 80's..82? after I'd been back 11 years and it just grabbed me. In many ways I was "still in Saigon" . The memories never go away. I was an LT on a hospital ship off Danang and too many of our guys that were picked up by the dustoffs left everything in that place. A great piece of music that sums up the rest of the lives of those who were there and came back. LT, USS Sanctuary. 1970 -71

Awesome album and song. Got it new when I was a bit younger.... This (and Long Haired Country Boy) is probalby one of the reasons he didn't get to be a member of the GOO until 2008. Mr. Daniels has always played his own music, no matter what anyone thinks about it.
