@bluegrassman776 I don't have my banjo out but my guess is Bb. A lot of these older recordings were sped up slightly to make them brighter. Flatt and Scruggs even tuned their instruments up a half step to get the same effect.

I don't know if bill was on this recording but I can find out , but yes Porter was an amazing man , I only got to meet him a few times and was a kid .

This is some of Red's best stuff - and backed up by Porter Church on banjo I'll bet. Way cool! Aoooouuuiieeeee! Love you Red!
