I've had DBS done to help treat my severe Tourette Syndrome. To my knowledge, I was the first TS patient in Canada to have it done. It has helped a bit but I have yet to see if it has helped to the extent they said it would. DBS and Tourette's is very experimental still, and due to the nature of Tourette's, it works in some people and not as well in others...it is still unknown why exactly. But for anyone who has severe Tourette's as adults where it becomes disabling, you can ask about DBS.

this stuff can WORK. i'm still searching for the documentary which shows a british researcher performing it and the beneficial results that last about an hr. they were "inducing savantism". if anyone has this i would appreciate it. I believe they were stimulating the orbital pre-frontal cortex.
