My dad used to fly those, he was in the 160th special ops unit. He doesn't do it anymore though.

Wow, that looks like some pretty cool skill! How can a pilot hold that type of hover for? Or is it just really dependent on how much fuel there is?

I'm a retired US Army CH-47 pilot.....We practiced this type of landing (called a pinnacle landing) all the time, not that hard to do, actually. The aircraft does a lot of the work for you due to it's stability and the tandem-rotor design.

i guess real life is better then any action movie.

@TheOriginalEntz... and you know where their "look outs" are?...ok expert....and walking down the hill sideways is being an idiot....how about more like being stable, so you don't fall down....you're the only idiot here...loser
-
@TheOriginalEntz heh...wasn't aware there were only 4 directions....Thanks.

Any reason the troops are walking down the hill sideways like idiots? Looks to be ingrained-trained too... wtf. I guess that's why they call it 'theater of war'. It's a joke, a show with explosions. Those guys weren't even organized enough to have lookouts in all 4 directions ...
