This was Agi Jambor's last recital before her death in early 1997. She played at the home of Rob Fiscella in the summer of 1996. Her Alzheimer's disease at that point was quite advanced, but if you are willing to overlook the brief lapses of memory, her beautiful playing comes through and is all the more amazing. Guests were Rudolf and Louise Marburg, Tanya and Ron Khazan, Penny and Michael Schwarz, Scott Sommerer, Susie and Max Schwarz, John Butchart, and, of course, Joe Stephens.
This is incredibly humbling. And her Chopin is so moving.

Joe always had funny stories to tell about his daily sessions with Agi. One day he said 'Agi played for me such and such Beethoven Sonata. I felt something different going on while she was playing. I then realized that she was playing the Sonata ina different key !!!!'. Agi was able to play in her peak, any one of 27 piano concertos upon request. Joe had counted a total of 40 piano concertos played by her during her career, from reviews !!!!!
