Kumasi is home to the largest marketplace in West Africa. The streets are swarming with vendors and shoppers, so much so that the sheer mass of people is overwhelming. The vendors and shops are richly varied with respect to the goods that they sell and bargaining and haggling is part and parcel with the experience.

  • Hi Tetekofa,

All that was meant by the comment is that pure water sachets are more plentiful on the ground than grass is (in the cities).

Ghana is a wonderful country to travel to, but there are problems. One of these problems is a question of what to do with the garbage.

It just so happens that plastic bags and water satchels are the most plentiful types of garbage.

All that was meant is that reducing and dealing with plastic garbage is a challenge which needs to be overcome.
