@conjoly Not only Britain, try USA, Canada, Switzerland, Sweden etc, etc, so on and so forth. The problem with the Euro for the Irish is you can't control it. We see now in Britain that we have to bail out another Euro Zone country. We are saving £7Billion with our Austerity Measures and giving it to Ireland. WTF!
Well there in lies the problem; if we don't help bail out Ireland the knock on effects to the British, German and French economies would be greater than £7 billion. so we have to.

Nobody in Ireland is talking about leaving the Euro. It's only in Britain where the subject of the recession is linked with the Euro.
