National Geographic magazine is rolling out a yearlong series on population trends and related issues. One factoid: All 7 billion people on Earth later this year could fit, shoulder to shoulder, within Los Angeles. Rob Kunzig, a senior editor and author of the first article in the series, describes the project in this short interview. http://dotearth.blogs.nytimes.com/tag/population

  • @Australiano75 What do you think about the hate crimes being perpetrated against whites such as the attack by several black women on a 14 year old girl on a Portland Oregon bus? Are you in favor of them? I'm asking in a nice tone if an anti-White such as yourself condones such behavior by blacks against lone defenseless whites.

  • @Australiano75 <--- Anti-White says,

"You racists make me laugh with all your "save the white race"... fucking dickhead"hahahaha

Your hatred for White people is palpable. It is genocidal.

  • Counting Population

  • It is amazing to me how educated, intelligent people can look at the growing population and think that there is no problem. We have survived by drawing down the earth's capital at a rate which can not be sustained.

  • @streethustla24 they have a history of such.....yes indeed

  • It is interesting that a senior editor at National Geographic can discuss the issue of overpopulation with no mention of its impacts on other species.

The only question is: can we keep adding more people, without the system crashing (enough food, water, etc. for people).

Kunzig is "optimistic" about all this, as he tells us. But he can only keep his optimism by writing off other species.

For a less selfish view, read Dave Foreman's new book, "Manswarm and the Killing of Wildlife"

  • its interesting, when they talk about overpopulation...they seem to show developing countries.... that is not true. Holland,United States is more populated than most african countries.... Africa is just beginning but they cannot say that our population will be this or that.... on what basis?

  • i tried to put my comment on the national geographic and THEY REFUSED TO PUBLISH IT...

in their video it says that 50% are consuming worlds energy, but who is using this energy? its the world's richest countries....then they say that 13% dont have access to water... this has nothing to do over population, its luck of infrustructure,development.... its an unfair way of making those who live in developing world take the burden.

  • f u c k white people. they are evil

  • @AusGael And I don't mean filling up trailer parks with dumb white shits like you neither.

  • @AusGael Booo hooo, mummy didn't listen to me, school didn't listen to me, so I'll post my shit on the net hoping that I can find a charles manson support group for my random irrelevant thoughts. If the new race replaces the white race with more intelligent and efficient people, and your race is dying out due to slow reproduction, then go and fucking get an education and fuck like crazy you dickhead.
