Xenia - Triton Hotel Andros

Hotel "Triton" was one of the hotels of Xenia trademark owned by the Hellenic Organization of Tourism. The specific hotel is on Andros island (Hora) it was designed by Aris Konstantinidis and it was built in 1958. Was abandoned in mid 90's as well as most of the rest Xenia Hotels. Some of them were bought by private companies, the rest where left and some of them were demolished. Hotel Triton is a 5 level building (basement, ground, 1st, 2nd, roof-tanks level) with 2 wings making a "Z" letter. It has 26 rooms, one galley with glass surrounded dining room, 4 laundry rooms, luggage room, boiler room, din's office, phone room, open atrium, yard, substation transformer 15kV room and a tank room (since that time there were many water shortages and also the main water line couldn't feed all parts the hotel simultaneously). The condition right now is actually irreversible, many of the columns are prone to break off, the ceilings are licking, the floors in some places are crackling. Moreover there is a high quantity of asbestos in the building mainly used as heat insulator on pipes.
