When driving in snow, it's important to make sure that the tires have good tread, to turn the wheel the same direction that the back end is sliding, and to avoid slamming on the brakes. Discover the importance of driving slowly in the snow with help from the manager of a driving school in this free video on driving safety.

And you'll know all you ever need to know :)

  • You told me NOTHING I already knew.

    But hey, i'm from sweden.

People in America probably never even heard of countersteering before...

  • That's one of the ugliest cars ever made.

  • I've lived in Michigan all my life and the most important things to remember is what was mentioned in the video about skid control, and not making sudden moves. A confident, non-jittery attitude is also helpful. It isn't necessary to crawl along though. I routinely drive the 70mph speed limit on the highway during snowstorms. I wouldn't recommend it though unless you are experienced.

  • the only thing you need for winter driving is a vw baja bug

  • i drive in snow every year ppl from other states its funny watching them even drive in heavy rain

  • Sorry -- this is inane. Watch the British and Scandanavian driver videos instead.
