  • hey there, where do you get the object files from?

    Cheers

  • @Assassinninja4826 Check out my response to MrBelker's question, it shows you how to get to the files.

  • how do you put individual obj ?you can't populate them. How do you use them? or put them on the right place? e.g. a house ...

  • @spellprints You can add them as a single object (not a population). They will need to be in obj or tgo format like the populations are. Then you can move/rotate/etc it in the same way you would move a population center. Objects are shown by their bounding boxes when not in a population. You can also right click where you want to place an object in the preview, and choose "copy coordinates" and then paste those coordinates in the position for the object.

  • I'm not using the free version, but where do I get these tgo files? Have u downloaded it?

  • @MrBellker

Go to planetside's website, click Products -> Terragen 2. Then on the right, it will say download free edition. Right under the free edition download is the free files too. Also you can look at the file sharing area of the forums.

I think the distance shader would create a uniformed line of trees, the idea behind the paint feature is to create a specific pattern. If there is a way to do it with a distance shader please let us know.

  • Couldn't you use a distance shader instead to keep the trees away from the camera?

  • Hey I'm having an issue right after I use the Painted Shader tool. I follow it exactly but then when I try to populate it it just repopulates the original box that I made not the painted "path" any suggestions?

  • can you import files from Blender?

  • thanks for the tutorials.

  • @neuspadrin88 thanks a lot!
