  • I have recently discovered that the interpreter is J.Gibbons... So here are his credits =D

  • I just started to go through this piece. Thanks for sharing. Now I know how it is supposed to sound (that is if you don't make any mistakes which I did not notice).

  • I guess I'll ask my teacher for the sheet after my lessons start...

  • oh my god! i cant believe i found this! this is my ALLTIME favorite piano piece. i used to listen to this with my grandfather when i was little. and he tought me how to play it when i first started playing piano. this piece was THE inspiration for me to start writing piano music. its so haunting and mellow and perfect exactly as it is! thank you for uploading this!

  • Alkan's playing worried Liszt. He was the only one who could make Liszt worry about having competition as the number one...

  • @yojukitomodele

Thank you for this piece, also for me is wonderful and magic!

  • essa peça toca diretamente no coração.

  • muito bom

  • @NicolasDanielNazarko Nice. Legal.

  • It's such a beautiful piece but I feel it could have been played with more expression. More rubato, more focus on echoes etc.... I didn't feel there was enough variation in dynamics.

  • Soft and touching.

  • @CH3CH2OCH2CH3net I love your username! Something to do with organic chemistry, hmm??

And on topic, I think it's very colorful, although I do prefer more rubato. Fortunately, this piece is very accessible, so you could easily learn it and perform it how you like! :D

  • @hellomate639

Ever heard of Thalberg? Dreyschock? Kalkbrenner?

  • wonderful...

    and sad..

  • Una melodia meravigliosa eseguita con grande sensibilità e delicatezza!
