@rjhayskie09 i was in attendance. one of the most heartbreaking moments in spurs history. since then the rule has changed and that shot can't happen again.

@krazygreen his point had nothing to do with defending the inbounds pass, it's the fact that chamberlain got the ball after the made basket and before he actually stepped out of bounds to inbound the ball he passes it to west. rules have always stated that after a made basket you have to inbound the ball from out of bounds, even if it's just one foot out of bounds. clearly he hadn't stepped out yet. i noticed the same thing. 01:57

The people who post that the song in the video is "gay" are homophobe children who are nothing less then insecure themselves. Grow up, get an idea of what the song entails in regards to the video, and please, stop using the term "gay" in reference to a song that made the artist who sings it millions of dollars. Look closely at the Jerry West play at 2:00. Doesn't the inbounds pass look illegal? I mean it looks like Chamberlain wasn't behind the line when he made the pass!

@davd1986 The rules were different back then. Actually, players were allowed to defend the inbounds guy by stepping out of bounds, it was odd looking in hindsight but it was the legal back then.
