Shinohara VS Douillet - Worst Misjudgement in Judo History

Shinichi Shinohara (Japan) vs David Douillet (France) at the +100kg men's Judo final in 2000 Sydney Olympic.
As you see Shinohara obviously got ippon by Uchimatasukashi technique.
However chief referee and one sub referee judged it as Douillet's yuko and another sub referee judged Shinohara's ippon.
Even though the misjudgement apparently existed Shinohara had never made excuses and complained about this judge.
I hope horrible misjudement like this will never happen again for all of athletes and for true manly strongest Judoka Shinichi Shinohara.

2000年シドニー五輪男子柔道100Kg超級決勝戦でフランスのドゥイエが仕掛けた内股を篠原信一選手が内股すかしで一本！金メダル！と思いきや、まさかの誤審でドゥイ­エの有効ポイントに。
この信じがたい大誤審により、篠原選手は結局ポイント差を埋めることができず銀メダルに終わりました。
試合後、篠原選手は「自分が弱いから負けた」と、男らしく言い訳をすることはありませんでした。
後に有働由美子アナウンサーがすすり泣きながら経緯を報告していたのをやり切れない思いで見ていた人も多いのではないかと。

個人的には解説者になった篠原さんのボケや野村忠宏さんとの絶妙な漫談が大好なので、篠原さんにはこれからも解説者としても柔道家としても、ご活躍を期待しています。

Truth is the only way he was going to be Daves strong Osoto and defense was with superior speed which wasn't evident Dave like Tedy Riner are to stong and athletic for the Japanese big guys!
