It was indeed a cautionary tale, as a dystopia usually represents the worst of a good idea gone to the absurd level. I thought it was ground-breaking when it came out, and continue to marvel at it thru the years. For me, it represents the need for the outsider -- to balance or rebalance the world gone arrogant as humans gain too much control and lose their connection to the great wheel of karma. I chuckle at your thoughts on the costumes, and the 70's. I came of age during the 70's, fondness...

Thanks for explaining level 2. Been a while since I last saw the movie. I need a moment of true meditation, thanks for reminding me.

I don't know what level 2 refers to, sorry.

Difficult to predict how it will evolve. I imagine it will be commercialized as much as possible. Be used as a way to target consumers.
It is amazing how people can communicate on this site - you don't have to buy an expensive spot on TV to get your thoughts heard by the world. What's also strange is how in just over a year, this has become normal to everyone. It really makes you wonder about the future.

Zardoz always struck me as a movie where every nuance of the film was somehow influenced by mind altering chemicals..hah. But enough of that noise, I feel that while technology and the internet give people a voice to be heard, each individual voice is drowned out in the multitude of voices so in the end, you have the same effect not getting heard. Interesting that.

Community, my friend. We are heard within a community and now for the first time that community is international, randomly aquired, and face to face while not being in the same space. Those communities have interactions, such that information spreads and others view others where never was coverage before. I see an opportunity for aggregates, and for the little guy. We are at the start of the evolution, what will we have in 200 years?
